Hello, good morning, and how do you do! This is the little classroom. It's where the babies and toddlers go. My baby sister goes here! And I went there when I was little and now I am not little anymore.
Washing your hands means you don't get sick. And the babies? They touch everything and get their hands all mucky! So wash your hands. There is a song for this: one pump of soap, one pump of soap, one pump is all you need, one pump of soap! When you are in the forest, you can wash your hands there too! The teachers will have a bucket of water with a tap on it, and they pour the water for you and you wash your hands. Sometimes the water is so warm, like a swimming pool!
Babies have to learn about everything, even about eating. This is what babies eat: crackers and yogurt and apple slices and milky. And then they make a big mess and throw things on the floor - the forks and the spoons and the cups. I never throwed anything on the floor when I was a baby. Babies have the right to healthy food, and they can’t eat things like popcorn because they are just little.
Even the babies have lots of feelings. They cry and they laugh and they get mad. But they are just learning the words, so maybe they will push each other and be grabby. But we learn the song at school, and then they will know. "Please stop I don't like it when you push me! Please stop please stop please stop!" And then they learn to bring friends ice packs and to give hugs.
When you are a baby, you like singing with your friends. And so you stop and sing a lot. So many songs to learn! And did you know you can sing inside and outside? For real life! You can do everything inside and outside. Well, except go poo on the potty. Because there is no potty outside!
When I was in the little class, I was friends with Erin and Connor and Phily-boy and Bella! We was all just babies and friends, and said goo goo ga ga! And I miss them when I’m not at school. I’m going to marry Connor, or maybe Rory, I don’t know. Rory is funny but Connor loves me most.
At group time you read books, and sing baby beluga, and there are stories and you have to sit down, so everyone can see. Except when it is dancing time. Then you dance. You know it is dancing time because the teachers will tell you.
This is something little kids have to learn. Hard things are not hard when you do teamwork. Sometimes the babies don’t know, and they just go cry cry cry so loud, but then when you do teamwork it’s better. That’s what the teachers are for, to teach how to do teamwork. And to change diapers. Stinky diapers! That’s a bathroom word! (laughing)
The babies, they are just learning about outside. They don’t like things like gloves and suncream. But the babies, they like the ducks, and the puddles, and the sand. The forest is so very very very very big when you are a baby, the logs are big and the puddles are big and the trees are the biggest. The slugs are big. Even the babies know you don’t eat slugs.
When I was little, like a baby, I never ever sleeped. I didn't like sleeping. The teachers rubbed my back and I listened to the music and sometimes I would jump up and try to wake up my friends, but don't do that. Just go to sleep, that's the best. The music goes “they didn’t have you where I come from, dun dun da da da da dun dun dun.” It’s not for dancing to, though. Just for sleeping.
If you have diapers, the teacher will change it. It's better to learn to pee in the toilet, but if you have diapers, the princess ones are best. I like the Belle ones. Even big kids maybe use diapers at nap time or sleeping time, so diapers are ok if you need them.
Here is the very important thing. Kids put on their boots and outside things, but sometimes they might need help. The little babies, they need lots of help because they are just too little. And when they have all the outside things on, they look so puffy!
The wagon is there if you can't walk. My baby sister can't walk yet, not really. She takes 8 steps and then sits on her bum. So the babies, they can go in the wagon, and the teachers can pull the wagon, or the bigger friends can pull the wagon. And then when they can walk maybe 10 steps, they can hold on at the back of the wagon. And then when they can walk 100 steps, they don't need the wagon at all!
In the wagon, there is space for maybe 4 baby friends. But if you are a big kid, there is only room for 2 friends. If you have too many friends in the wagon, it's too squishy. But I think it's better to be in the wagon with friends, because did you know everything is better with your friends!
